Armaan Malik sang the song "Bum Bum Bole" for the movie "Taare Zameen Par" in 2007 when he was only 10 years old. Since then, he has established himself as both a playback singer and an independent singer-songwriter. He has collaborated with various artists and recently performed alongside Ed Sheeran and Marshmello during their tours in India. During a recent visit to Bengaluru, Armaan expressed his belief in manifesting his dreams into reality. He shared his journey as a singer, from his early years as a child singer to the teenage pop singer phase and then entering Bollywood. Looking ahead, Armaan has set his sights on achieving his musical dreams, such as winning a Grammy, performing at Madison Square Garden, and collaborating with artists like Charlie Puth, Zedd, and Justin Bieber. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for all opportunities as an artist.

Regarding the music industry, Armaan reflected on the evolution of music from 2014 to 2018, highlighting the flourishing music scene during that period with the emergence of artists like Arijit Singh and himself. He noted a shift in focus towards creating viral hits over quality songs, expressing concern about maintaining the integrity of music creation. Armaan emphasized the uniqueness and authenticity of a good song, cautioning against attributing success to a specific formula. He also raised concerns about the potential misuse of technology, such as artificial intelligence, to manipulate voices and emphasized the need for laws to protect artists' rights and preserve the authenticity of music creation. It's both amusing and worrying that anyone can use my voice and style to release a song, highlighting the importance of regulations. While AI can be helpful, laws should be in place to safeguard artists' rights and prevent technology from diluting the true essence of music. I strongly believe that genuine musical elements, such as live instruments and musicians, must always be integral to the music-making process. What is authentic should always remain so. Collaborations serve as a great avenue to merge diverse worlds, fan bases, and styles. Partnering with another artist is thrilling, but the key lies in being genuinely drawn to that individual. I have a few favorite artists I would love to work with because I deeply respect their artistry and desire to create together. Successful collaborations are built on mutual admiration and excitement; without this energy, collaborations are unlikely to thrive. I am fortunate to have collaborated with many artists I admire, including the surreal experience of working with AR Rahman. It's incredible how manifestations can transform dreams into reality. Today, thanks to talent and internet accessibility, an individual from a remote village can garner a following and rise to stardom through their exceptional work. This period marks a significant era for independent music in India. Playful singer Armaan Malik compares playback singing to being a chameleon due to the need for adaptation to match the on-screen persona of the actor. This ability to adjust vocal style to suit the age and charisma of the actor makes the role of a playback singer dynamic and versatile. Armaan expresses his delight in collaborating with Ed Sheeran, describing it as a dream come true.Armaan Malik expressed humility after performing with Ed Sheeran. Despite Ed Sheeran's immense fame, he remained very approachable. It's not common to meet someone of his caliber who stays so humble. They had insightful discussions about music, particularly Indian music, and Ed expressed interest in collaborating with more Indian artists. Their bond grew into a close friendship, and Armaan now sees Ed as a brother. (Armaan Malik recently had a successful concert at Bharatiya City in Bengaluru).
